www.vaforarts.org - Virginians for the Arts The mission of Virginians for the Arts is to advance the interests of the arts and artists for the benefit of all citizens of Virginia by: 1) Supporting increased public funding for the arts from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as additional arts funding at the local and regional level; 2) Encouraging legislative actions which will improve conditions for the arts and artists, and discouraging legislation which would affect the arts adversely: 3)Communicating regularly with its membership of artists, arts organizations, and citizens who are arts enthusiasts statewide about advocacy issues and opportunities.
